Teen Talk Youth in Alternative Settings

(YAS) is an adaptation of Teen Talk, a curriculum created by Health

Connected and used in many CA schools.

A state-compliant sex ed curriculum

Reviewed by former foster youth and adapted for youth in foster care

Complies with laws related to the rights of youth in foster care

Vetted for medical and legal accuracy

Eligibility:

Youth in foster care, with open cases with DCFS or

suitably placed through probation

Youth ages 12-17, or 18 and enrolled in high school

Headphones & personal devices that connects to Zoom

Compensation: Youth have the potential to

receive a $265 Amazon or Target

gift card for participating

($15 per ses s ion+$100 bonus for

attending all 11)

Session dates and times:

Spring break series 1: March 20-24, 10 AM-12PM. Enroll at bit.ly/Springbreakseries1.

Spring break series 3: March 27-30, 4:30 PM-5:30 PM, and April 3-7, 1PM- 2PM. Enroll at bit.ly/Springbreakseries3.

Spring break series 5: April 10-14, 10 AM-12PM. Enroll at bit.ly/Springbreakseries5. Ideal for youth enrolled in San Rafael and Novato School Districts
