Cesar Chavez & Dolores Huerta Days of Service

The civil rights activists Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta fought for the labor rights of farm workers and co-founded the United Farm Workers Union. Founded in 1962, the United Farm Workers Union was the first long-lasting union of its kind in the nation and was critical in procuring safer work conditions and better pay for farm workers.

Cesar Chavez Day is a federally recognized holiday celebrated on March 31st each year. Dolores Huerta Day is celebrated annually in California on April 10th, her birthday.

Join us in honoring the legacy of these two activists by volunteering in your community during the months of March and April.
