Save the Date: An Evening with Isabel Allende and Javier Zamora

  • Angelico Concert Hall, Dominican University of California 50 Acacia Avenue San Rafael, CA, 94901 United States (map)

Join the Office of Equity for a powerful conversation with Isabel Allende. Intertwining past and present, The Wind Knows My Name tells the tale of two unforgettable characters, both in search of family and home. This powerful and moving novel traces the ripple effects of war and immigration of one child in Europe in 1938 and another in the United States in 2019. It is both a testament to the sacrifices that parents make and a love letter to the children who survive the most unfathomable dangers — and never stop dreaming.

Isabel Allende will be in conversation with Javier Zamora, author of Solito, as they explore the impacts of immigration on families and children. You don’t want to miss it!

The event is in person and will take place at Angelico Hall - Dominican University. RSVP today to attend at no cost and receive a complimentary book at the event. Tickets available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Seating is limited. Please RSVP only if you plan to attend. Please let us know your book language preference, Spanish or English.
